While “Dreaming of Fxxxing Cinderella” is the literal translation of the title, it’s known by a few others including “Dreaming of Cinde Fxxxing Rella” and “I Openly Dream of Cinderella.” It’s a 2024 South Korean romantic comedy drama set for release on May 31st.
The drama centers around Shin Jae-Rim, a modern-day Cinderella stuck in a difficult situation. She dreams of escaping her harsh reality by finding her own “Prince Charming” – a classic fairy tale fantasy. This quest leads her to a job as a manager at a social club run by Moon Cha-Won.
Moon Cha-Won is the son of a wealthy family and the CEO of the club. Unlike Jae-Rim, he scoffs at the idea of fairy tale romances and finds women who hold onto that dream rather arrogant. As Jae-Rim and Cha-Won navigate their contrasting views on love, they develop a connection that leads to both romance and personal growth.
Shin Jae-Rim (Pyo Ye-Jin): The protagonist, an ambitious woman yearning for a better life. She seeks a Prince Charming to escape her struggles.
Moon Cha-Won (Lee Jun-Young): The wealthy CEO who runs the social club. He’s arrogant and cynical about love, particularly fairy tale notions.
